The Last Lesson of School

I’d like to share a life experience story with you all as a Lone Storyteller. I was in the 12th grade, and I still remember. In that last lesson of school, during the assembly, while addressing us early in the morning, my school principal said that it takes ten years to become a successful person in any profession, so please choose it wisely. And those words hit the heart of that 16-year-old boy. He was just about to finish his school life. He had to come out of the river and meet the ocean. Because after school, you have to meet new people and begin a new life that could lead you towards your dreams.

The Last Lesson Of School

It happened ten years ago. From where he stood today, he realized that his principal was damn right about that. He saw the ocean, but could never dissolve in it. His ten-year journey was littered with roller coasters. He never stood on one path. He always dreamed big. but he couldn’t succeed. He tried but failed. He falls. He broke down. He was disheartened, but he kept coming back. He kept picking himself up.

One last hope

He kept himself up for one last hope. “One day, he will win.” He will overcome all his flaws and become a changed person. He is the protagonist of his own story. He gained experience as a member of various professions. His first dream was to become a sportsperson. When he was 16, he used to get up early in the morning, before sunrise, and do jogging and sprinting. But when his dream was broken, he never saw that sunrise again for 10 years.

Life in Frames

For 10 years, he fought with the darkness inside him alone, with a sense of humiliation in mind. He kept fooling people with his happy face, but the truth emerged when the suffering hidden behind his grin began to reveal itself.

Fooling people with happy look

He has understood the difference between good and bad and has also understood the real relationships that will always be with him. There are many different types of people in this ocean. You will have to be careful about whom you meet. He knows that he is close enough to find his purpose or has already found it. However, there is still a long way to go.

Purpose

Today, as he recalls those days from his school principal, he realizes that he is still 10 years away from becoming a successful professional. He made many bad choices in his life. Now he is suffering for his wrong decisions. He wanted to right his wrongs, but he could not travel to the past to fix them. He has a desire to be born again. He is trying to become a better version of himself, and he is connecting the dots backward.

Connecting the dots backward

Nothing is too late to start. It doesn’t matter if you are 16 or 26 years old. Just try to move ahead with whatever resources you have. It does not matter how limited resources are. Always keep the fighter in you alive because hope requires faith. You may be an underdog today, but remember that an underdog can shock the world any day during the event. Because the importance of victory is also known to those who have never tasted victory.

Keep the fighter in you alive

He tried working in different professions but could not get satisfaction. He is still looking for an answer, still looking for his purpose while experiencing new things. He is lonely but full of inner strength. Every day, he asks himself the same question: who am I? And what’s my purpose? It could take ten years longer to achieve success than it does now. But you’ll be successful that day, and you’ll shock the world. I will never forget that memorable last lesson from my school.

Thank you for taking the time to read this personal story from a Lone Storyteller.
